Once a course of actions has been agreed upon, we act as life's general contractor providing coordination of care services and on-site quality assurance. Melanie Hankinson, Managing Director

melanie-hankison-web-useMelanie Hankinson, Managing Director of IKOR NW Columbus, has a passion to serve others. Eighteen years in the healthcare field has given her valuable experience to understand the needs and desires of the elderly and disabled. She specialized training in physical therapy and is currently a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA) and an Aging Life Care Professional.

Ms. Hankinson has been a successful volunteer guardian and has assisted many adults that have faced difficult healthcare decisions by guiding them through the complicated systems, advising, as well as supporting individuals to find a renewed sense quality in their lives.

 

Registered Nurse Advocates

Sandy is a graduate of The Ohio State University College of Nursing and has forty years of clinical, teaching and management experience as an RN in Ohio.  She has significant clinical experience with patients with cardiovascular conditions, but the main focus of her career has been promoting health and wellness from school age through older adulthood. She is a published co-author of a child wellness promotion tracking project and the former owner of wellness education business. Sandy has been a consultant to insurance and managed care organizations and has worked with businesses throughout Ohio to promote employee wellness benefits and programs. She has done marketing and motivational messaging to promote wellness and healthy lifestyles and has done presentations at the local, state and national level. For over 10 years she advocated for her mother as they navigated the treatment of multiple illnesses and the search for safe and secure living arrangements. It is this experience that has fueled her passion for her role as an RN Advocate for IKOR.

Personal Needs Coordinators

Our Personal Needs Coordinators (PNCs) are experienced financial professionals who provide guidance, planning, oversight and the implementation of plans designed to focus on our client’s important life challenges. Personal Needs Coordinators can act as an independent, objective party to help make financial decisions that are in the best interest of our client. From helping the client find an appraiser for antiques or jewelry to helping them liquidate assets or getting quotes and bids for home modifications and repairs, our PNCs are ready to help our clients make informed decisions.
