Sanford Freed, Managing Director

Sanford Freed | IKOR North Grand Rapids, MISanford Freed is the Managing Director of IKOR of West Michigan. His passion to serve the elderly and their caregivers began in 1995 when he founded SafeCall Home Medical Alarms in Grand Rapids MI. He oversaw that company’s growth for twenty years. He recognized that IKOR offered a unique set of services supported by solid health-care and financial management and operational expertise.

He serves the West Michigan community through working with Making Choices Michigan as an Advance Care First Steps Facilitator; as a Steering Committee member of the Caregiver Resource Network and as a past President of the Kent County Council on Aging. Additionally, he makes public presentations as a Dementia Champion for Dementia Friendly Grand Rapids. Over the past fifteen years he has also been an advocate for the Hard of Hearing community.

Sanford is also involved with the community-wide effort to transform Grand Rapids, MI into an Age-Friendly City as recognized by the World Health Organization.

Sanford earned the Certification as a Senior Advisor in July, 2016.
