Furthering her advocacy for healthy life choices, she was also the Director for Infectious Diseases in a large community based Health Center. There her love for teaching found a voice to help people navigate the complex health system. Now semi-retired, she has become a Case Manager for the Medicare population. Formally in the Insurance arena in New York and now in Orthopedics here in Florida.
Joan lived in Upstate NY area most of her life, hailing from the small Finger Lake community of Skaneateles, outside of Syracuse.
