IKOR of Northern Central Bexar County Advocates

The IKOR of Northern Central Bexar County team consists of board-certified RNs with more than 20 years of experience, and these individuals act as our RN Patient Advocates. In addition, we have Personal Needs Coordinators who perform financial advocacy for our clients. Our staff has a diverse background in business, financial planning, mental health, pediatrics, gerontology, rehabilitation and special needs care.

Phillip Walker, Managing Director

Phillip Walker is Managing Director of IKOR of Northern Central Bexar County. For over 15 years, Phillip has provided professional guidance to individuals and families in building, protecting and distributing their assets in order to secure their financial health and well-being. His areas of expertise include risk management, preparing and dealing with life events, power of attorney (POA), and executor and trust issues.

Working closely with people as they prepare for and deal with life events, he advocates a proactive strategy for each personal financial situation, helping families maximize the financial benefits of insurance, investment, estate planning and wealth preservation.

Phillip's passion for working with seniors and the disabled is born from his personal and professional experiences helping his family and others navigate the complexities of healthcare, social services and financial planning during emotionally difficult life events.

IKOR is in the business of providing advocacy and guardianship services for seniors and those with special needs due to catastrophic injuries and/or developmental disabilities. We provide healthcare, financial advocacy and care management services for clients of all ages, including a total personal assessment (medical, pharmacy, psychosocial, environmental, educational, vocational, etc.), development of a personalized strategic plan, care/case management, telemedicine, bill pay and bank reconciliation, POA, and guardianship.

IKOR ensures our clients are treated with dignity and respect so they feel valued, are provided visibility, and are given a voice as we advocate and work with them to navigate the complex healthcare delivery system and work to resolve their challenges.

Registered Nurse Advocates

Our Registered Nurse Advocates are highly experienced professionals with supervisory or management experience in the nursing field. RN Advocates have received specialized training from IKOR and have a special understanding of medical advocacy. They help our clients, and their families, navigate the complex, and often fragmented care systems. We understand tending to the needs of seniors and the disabled can be a daunting challenge. Our RN Advocates work with our clients to determine their medical needs and coordinate the delivery of care services to ensure our client’s needs are being met and personal preferences are being fulfilled.

Personal Needs Coordinators

Our Personal Needs Coordinators (PNCs) are experienced financial professionals who provide guidance, planning, oversight and the implementation of plans designed to focus on our client’s important life challenges. Personal Needs Coordinators can act as an independent, objective party to help make financial decisions that are in the best interest of our client. From helping the client find an appraiser for antiques or jewelry to helping them liquidate assets or getting quotes and bids for home modifications and repairs, our PNCs are ready to help our clients make informed decisions.
